Jobs for felons in Texas can be challenging to find especially as many employers conduct not only criminal background checks, but also checks on financial background.  If you have come across the problem with finding employment due to poor credit, it is important to not be discouraged.


Even poor credit auto loans can be challenging for felons, but again, these types of financial needs should not be too discouraging. If you are looking for a job in Texas, consider working for an auto dealer as there are many smaller dealerships, especially those who are “tote the note” who will hire a convicted felon and give you car dealership jobs.  At the same time, your employer will usually give you a car to drive while you are working for them. The only caveat is that you typically will need to get your own car insurance to ensure you are protected against loss of the vehicle while not at work. When looking for employment for felons, it is important to think outside the box and find new opportunities right in the same resources that are depriving you of your needs.

Employment for Felons in Texas with Kroger Services

Employment for felons in Texas can be found in a variety of unique resources and we recently received a tip from one of our readers advising that Kroger hires convicted felons. This person lives in Ohio and works at the Kroger food distribution warehouse. It appears that Kroger will hire convicted felons as they see the tax credit in hiring those who have been convicted of a felony. If you are looking for a job, consider applying at a Kroger store, or even a Kroger food distribution warehouse, and be sure to make not that you are a convicted felon. You may even want to point out that you understand that Kroger hires those with a felony conviction because of the tax incentives and this may, possibly, push you to the top of candidates they are considering. While we make no guarantee of being hired, the reader that suggested this as an employment location definately wanted us to be sure to tell our Texas readers that being a felon may actually be an advantage in this case. When considering jobs that hire felons, be sure to consider this and you may also want to consider Albertson’s and other grocery store chains.
