Jobs for Felons in Texas are on the horizon! The Texas Workforce Commission has agreed to give a grant to Lone Star Corporate College totaling over $500,000. With this grant money, Lone Star will partner with other companies to further the education and training of those looking for education and training in welding, electrical work, and even work as press operators. If you have an interest in these career options, you may want to contact the TWC or the Lone Star Corporate College to determine how you can qualify for this important to grant given by the state agency. While not directly ordered as school grants for felons, it can potentially lead to grants for felons through this opportunity.

    2. does anyone know which companies hire convicted felons. My best friend was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon in 98 and served 10 years. He has been out for 2 years. Working on and off jobs. Please if anyone knows an actual company that would hire a felon with this charge please leave a comment or email me at lusciouslana11@gmail.com

    3. Only conviction I have is a DWI from 6 years ago.. I do have some deferred probation charges that are putting a halt to everything. I am a single dad and need some help, the workforce is trying but when it comes down to it they don’t like the felony arrest on my background.

    Any ideas.
